Dr. Ira Bernstein is a family physician who is practising in Toronto for over twenty-eight years. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine in 1990. Additionally, he completed his Family and Community Medicine residency in 1992. Subsequently, he obtained certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
He is providing full service primary medical care at his Toronto office, including newborn care and the continuum of life care. He has interests in diabetes management and geriatric care. Dr. Bernstein is on faculty with the University of Toronto. As a result, he is actively involved with the teaching of undergraduate medical students.
Dr. Bernstein enjoys many other medical and allied health interests. Since 2015, he is the medical advisor for Metabolic Balance Canada. As the advisor, he provides guidance to the team of certified coaches across the country. Metabolic Balance coaches offer personalized nutrition programs for weight management and health improvement.
Dr. Bernstein is involved with clinical trials with USANA Health Sciences, a manufacturer of high-quality nutritional supplements. This research has resulted in publication of studies in scientific journals with Dr. Bernstein as a co-author.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bernstein enjoys family life, jogging, travelling and the occasional Netflix series.
Dr. Adriana Pirvu is a family physician with over 10 years of medical practice in Canada including Family Medicine, Emergency and Hospital Medicine. Presently she is providing comprehensive primary medical care at her office in Toronto and she is affiliated with Humber River Hospital.
